Description
Situated in the Colchagua Valley in Chile’s Central Valley, the climate here is pretty much as good as it gets for growing grapes. Long hours of sunshine with cooling ocean breezes ensure the grapes develop a great complexity of fruit while the granitic soils deliver a minerally edge to the wine.
This is a classic Central Valley blend of Cabernet (70%) and Carmenere (30%). It’s brimming with ripe black fruit notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and blackcherry with subtle notes of cedar. Ageing in used French oak barrels brings a soft texture and a hint of spice to the finish.
